Default Homemade CAI

Hi all

After reading through all the forums, I am in the process of making my own cold air intake. I am going to post some pics of what I am doing for anyone that is interested. I do have a quick question though... Coming off the air chamber box located at the throttle body there is the AIT sensor and another black rubber tube on the right corner. What is that tube running to and what size is it? It appears to be around 3/8" but I am not sure.

Thanks!

Sorry...guess I should have posted a little better. Thats what I meant by I had searched the forums. After doing a bunch of research (using the search) I found that alot of people had done their own. That's where I got the idea to try it....figured might as well try a $60 solution first before plopping down $400. I thought it was the PCV line as well but wasnt sure...any idea what size it is?

Thanks for the reply!

are you guys referring to PVC and the rubber reducers that you can get for the TB and airbox ends?

Get it from O'Rileys. You can get the metal tubing and everything from them too. Still about 60 bucks and it looks professional.

mine went into the filter box on my 4.7. just drill a 3/8th inch hole and super glue it in. and use a rubber hose for one of your 90 bends and put it in there so it wont rattle and everything. that helps keep mine in tact often!!!!!!!!!
