2003 Ram 4.7L
[QUOTE=Laramie1997;1638593]I have a friend of mine that has the above mentioned Ram.
I have already changed the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor, PCV valve, and have checked the cat.
What am I missing?
He is not getting a CEL light.

No wires. No cap. No rotor.
Could be dirty TB or injector. Clean the TB and run some Sea Foam through it and see if it helps. If it's not throwing codes it could be just about anything.

The 03 4.7 doesn't have an EGR valve. Mine will do the same thing but only when it's cold in the AM. After that it doesn't do it. Could be the the PCM not adjusting the engine correctly, or a sensor giving a false reading that the computer overcompensates for, but not so far out that the PCM thinks the sensor is bad. So it won't throw a code. +1 on throttle body cleaning and checking fuel press as a next step. good luck
Well, he just called me to tell me that the CEL came on. I told him to go do the 3 key cycle to find out what it is.
Also here is the pics.
Its a little different, but I think it works for this truck.

as far as the tuner comment goes, man superchips for his stock 4.7 should be just fine...shouldnt hurt his truck any.and with his stock diff it should be fine ...**** i have the combo of 4:56's and SC and its a great combo ..i def. turn him ON to it!
Yea, but you have something he doesn't..... Common sense (at least I hope...), not to mention, that 4.7 already has too much power for him.... He better hope to god that truck doesn't get left at my home for a week end tho.....
