i was driving my ram today and i heard a noise almost like an electric motor sound i dont know if you guys will understand this but like a wereing sound. it only happened when i wasnt excellerating and went away with braking. there was no pulling so i dont think its a brake pad rubbing any way any ideas would help greatly.

 

Is your truck a 4x4???

 

Mine does that from time to time. It is the ABS motor firing up. Mine does it at the track after braking hard, and stops when I tap the brakes again

 

yea my truck is a 4x4 and my truck has been doin it all day it almost sounds like your engine braking

 

They covered it- probably ABS motor or x-fer case motor.

 

any suggestions to test it or fix it it really is pissing me off and if it was one of those wouldnt it set a light off ?

 

Quick fix. Get a louder exhaust.

 

my exhaust is loud enough thats why i cant hear it on acceleration
