Carbon fiber ugly? WOW

And technically any carbon fiber item wouldn't be ricer since it serves a purpose (Weight Reduction) which in turn is a performance mod. Now if you were to get a vinyl roll of it, then i'd say your a ricer.

I typed this then realized raminator mentioned it's a weight reduction mod. How heavy is a factory hood?
no they didnt ask me if i had a srt 10. but i found one at an auto salvage that im gonna go look at soon. hopefully it doesnt have any damage.
and yea its my opinion that carbon fiber is ugly. i dont want an all silver truck and then have this carbon fiber hood on it. if you want weight reduction then go with fiberglass

and saving weight really isnt a bad idea. every pound saved is like extra horsepower.

Damn boys... I thought this thread was about Silver losing a shot at his hood? where the hell did it go wrong?

Unless your building an alcohol running truck, and every pound counts, I doubt buying an ugly hood will justify a couple of pounds. Yes, I said ugly, in my opinion. Carbon fiber, or fiberglass? fiberglass.

Sorry for your loss Silver

"raminator thread jack," theres even an official name for it?

and you could always paint carbon fiber. i mean if they cost the same as a regular unpainted srt hood from the dealer and carbon fiber is stronger and lighter...
