actually, ricers have plastic hoods that look like carbon fiber, never real carbon fiber. the cars that have true carbon fiber hoods are far from being a ricer.
you do save some weight by going with carbon fiber though

 

im not trying to save weight and anyways its only like 40lbs. and that carbon fiber was 750 way to much...

My dealer said $675 for the unpainted hood and plastic scoop. Did they ask you if you had an SRT-10? I think some dealers charge you A LOT for any SRT part unless you give them the vin from an srt vehicle.

And technically any carbon fiber item wouldn't be ricer since it serves a purpose (Weight Reduction) which in turn is a performance mod. $750 isn't that much when you take into account you don't have to spend $200+ for paint. Now if you were to get a vinyl roll of it, then i'd say your a ricer.


I typed this then realized raminator mentioned it's a weight reduction mod. How heavy is a factory hood?
