hose from air filter to oil fill

Default hose from air filter to oil fill

so im getting ready to go buy the supplies to make my intake and ill be installing it tomorrow but before i do i need a quick answer. once i get everything installed what do i do with the hose that goes from the air filter housing to the oil fill tube? do i just cap it off?

I have seen people put a small air filter over it...

yeah I think it needs to be kept open for air ventilation (sp)

I think you're talking about the crankcase ventilation hose. Does it come out of one of the valvecovers? You should keep it.

Yea, I just put one of those small air filters on it. Works just fine with no error codes.

no, it goes from the air filter straight to the oil fill tube, right below the cap

I'm pretty sure it's the crankcase vent. They put them in different spots all the time.

+1 on the small filter. Mine had a crooked hose coming from the oil fill so I just stuck the small filter in one end and turned it down. Works fine.

I dunno if i'd trust a breather on there...i'm constantly getting oil in that tube.

You need to put a nipple on your CAI and hook it up to it. It needs filtered air for the PCV valve to suck in from.
