Default Westin Oval Step Bar - 21-2310

Having trouble with the install of these bars. Can anyone give advice on how to remove the body/frame mount bolt?

it should just come right out. whats the problem? If its rusted, spray some PB Blaster up there and let it soak for a little while. Keep in mind, they are HUGE bolts. Its gonna take over 100 lb/ft tq to break them loose most likely (and should be re-tightened as such). If you've got the right size wrench on it, dont be afraid to give it some serious muscle

only one of my bolts (pass rear) leaked rusty water like a *****. After i put the new one in it squeaked like crazy. save yourself the trouble and either slightly grease the threads or spray wd-40 up there before puttin the new bolt on (or both!). be sure to torque the new bolts down wayyy tight...roughly 100 lb ft, or as hard as you can crank with a normal 1/2" ratchet drive

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Does anyone know the bolt size, I have tried 3/4 inch, 19 and 17 mm, no luck moving these yet

I'm thinking mine was 11/16's or 18mm. Don't think it was metric tho cuz I ain't got many metric sockets. Find the socket that fits and put all the a** you got behind it or use a cheater bar but it'll come loose.
