Default 2008 Dodge Ram Big Horn < 9k miles already needed...

...to be towed into the dealer to have the starter replaced!

I searched and did not find anyone else with this problem. Has this happened to anyone else with a truck that's 6 months old and less than 10k on the odometer?

Also I am running premium gas 91 octane for the last 1.5k miles seems to be getting + .5 - 1 mpg anyone else notice this

also going to get full synthetic oil next oil change to see if that helps out with the mpg

gas really isn't a issue just want to see what kind of gains in mpg i can get if any while still driving like a maniac

Yeah this is true, I love your wheels.

I want to get mine powder coated but the idea of doing it one at a time is kinda not that appealing

and I don't have enough cash to spring for a beater set to get all four done at the same time

It was either defected or you have a habit of holding the key forward for a split second after the truck has started

the new starters have a fail saif that disable it once the truck was started....i think...but i've got 123,000 miles on my truck and same OEM parts....nothing replaced except for egr valve. that's it. sounds like a crappy starter.

I'd not worry about it, anybody can have a bad part. I've not heard a thing about much people having the starters go prematurely.
