Default Got inspection...did they over inflated my tires?

I went to Valvoline for an inspection and a week later, I stopped to check my tire pressure and there was 70 psi in each tire. The Max pressure on the side wall says 65psi. Since I got the tires I have been putting 62psi year round. Also, The tires look my fuller in the side walls. What should I do? lower it back? The ride seems fine.

+1 On the recommended pressure. I sure wouldn't go over the max. You also need to allow for the tire heating up during driving cuz the pressure will increase.

Shoot..........I put 40 psi all round and the tyre wear and ride are great.
That's with the 20" chrome clads and Cooper Discoverer HP+ tyres 275x60 R20.

Max tire pressure is just that, the maximum. As a rule of thumb, for everyday driving, I have always put 75-80% of the maximum rated pressure in my tires. My current FCII's call for 50 lbs. max and I run them at 40 lbs...
