2005 Ram Hemi 4x4 Sputters and Stalls
I have a 2005 Ram hemi 4x4 that started sputtering and stalling out a couple of weeks ago. This happens at startup when it attempts to idle and when I put the truck into gear (reverse or drive) and attempt to accelerate.
I took it to the dealership and have gotten nothing fixed for my $600. First trip they did a "fuel and air induction cleaning service" in which they cleaned the injectors and replaced the air filter. I also ran the fuel out of the truck in case it was dirty gasoline and filled up with 93 octane from Shell. Second time in they replaced the EGR valve.
The truck is still sputtering and stalling out just like before. I'm not a DIY mechanic so I would reallly appreciate any ideas before I take it back in and give them more money for nothing (no chicks for free with this deal).
Edit: No codes are set other than to indicate that the vehicle was moving while off.

are you getting any codes?
i know the 05 ish rams had a stalling issue, but i thought it usually happened on deceleration. it was something with the ecu...
i assume they cleaned the throttle body when they cleaned the induction system.
someone else will chime in....

Thanks for the reply. No, it doesn't throw any codes other than to indicate that the vehicle was moving while off. I'll edit my original post to include this.
not sure why no one else has chimed in on this one...
i see you are new, did you do a good, thorough search? odds are your answer is on here somewhere...
sometimes guys wont answer if the subject has been beaten to death (other than to verbally abuse you)
do a search, i would, but im lazy

I would hope that their "air induction cleaning" would include a good cleaning of the Throttle Body.
Beyond that, there was an issue (I think there is a TSB on it) with some '04 & '05 PCMs that had a stalling issue and required a Flash of the PCM. I'd inquire about that at the dealership...

Try an 0xygen sensor. There are 4 though, so you likely need to have it read to figure out which one (Post/pre cat on either Left or Right). Ive replaced two in the past month....2 more to go!
