Most guys will either run RP or Mobile 1 with a few trying the Amsoil. If you sit back and read a few threads you will see how everyone has thier own opinion on it. I have RP in my engine, trans and rear diff. I do think going to synthetic is better for several reasons and while I didnt notice any MPG increase as others swear they do, I did notice my "HEMI tick" went almost away completely. But then between the loud music and the electric cutout I wouldnt hear it if it was there. But I do suggest changing over. I paid about 7-8 for the engine oil, 15 for the rear oil and 11 for the trans oil. The only place I can get it around here is Oreillys.
... I just read somewhere (I'll try to find a link), where RP was told to change something in their advertising because certain parts weren't up to specs in the certification they claimed to have...
Thats very interesting, but interesting as it is I went to Royal Purple from Castrol Syntec and definatly noticed the Hemi running smoother and, as previously stated, my Hemi tick all but went away. No milage increase as some have claimed. I also have RP in the tranny and Diffs. I wanted to try RP or Amsoil and went to RP due to the availability locally. I guess I'll stay with what I got for now untill I see problems arising due to the oil.
