Default Door Lock Question

I have an 07 dodge ram 1500 4x4 big horn edition w/ hemi

Is there a way to get your doors to unlock automatically after shutting the car off? I know I can turn the feature of it locking the dorrs after driving but I want to keep that and just have it unlock when I shut the truck off.

Thanks in advance

Brad

I think I have read something on here before about changing all that kind of stuff. Have you tried using the search? or the FAQs? or the DIY section? Try one or all of these. If no luck maybe someone will chime in that knows how to do it but I'm sure there is something already on here about doing that.

Mine does it automatically as soon as I open my door. Our work Suburban here does it as soon as you put it in park.

Should be in your owners manual. i think it's get in and lock the doors. Buckle up so no other dings occur. turn your key to acc and then off a few times (3 or 4?) and then hit the unlock button. SHould be in the manual under door locks.

I looked in the manual and that is how you turn off the locking of the doors completely...I still want them to lock when moving but unlock when I turn the ignition off or put it in park.

Yes I did search for it and found nothing but there was a million posts so i might have missed it...so if someone can point me to it I would appreciate it.

Thanks
Brad

I just checked mine. I have the doors unlock when ignition is turned off through my aftermarket alarm!

Along the same lines, I wish my truck would turn the interior lights on when you shut the engine off and remove the key. My work van does that and it's very convenient for getting your things together before hopping out. Yes, I know all I have to do is open the door, but if it's raining/snowing/I'm parallel parked/etc, it would be nice if I could have them come on automatically without having to do that.
