That's some pretty helpful info; I'll be heading downstairs to take a look at this one shortly. I can't remember off-hand what #24 is labelled as in my case. Might be different but I'm gonna check it out shortly. BTW, nice lookin' truck you got there...!

You know I've been thinking that the problem might be in the switch itself (right above the brake pedal). With all brake lights out this could make sense. In the car book from Haynes there is a simple description to remove and install, but I can't seem to get any ideas as to whether this is something that is replaced more than once over the life of the vehicle. I purchased the truck used when it had already had 112K miles; now it's about 136K.

Are these replaced more than once normally...?
