Okay, I'm just pissed off now....this damn LSD is just a piece of crap! I have gotten stuck a few times because of it, and last night it really just went overboard...

I dont know if its the LSD or positrack or w/e, but damn! I am on the side of the levee next to a flooded bayou in dry grass...turn around and get my back tires on this grass....I let off of the brake in hope that idling will prevent spinning but no! My truck begins to slowly roll down the levee. I cut the wheel as to get it parallel with the levee. Cannot get it up, even going slowly at an angle...ONE WHEEL PEEL the other wheel was on gravel and my pass side rear wheel just spinning on grass

My buddy had to pull me out in his Chevy, I guess 4wd would have been a better option than my package for looks

 

With an 07, how many miles do you have on it and has it been to the shop before for the LSD?

 

Did you special order your truck??? Kinda weird a 2wd having LSD... ?? Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought the LSD is mainly put on the 4x4 rigs...

 

^^^^ Not really. Most 2wd's around here are automatically ordered with LSD because most want 4wd and 1 wheel won't get you anywhere in the snow, not sure in LA??? I guess it just depends on the dealership who orders them up.

Congrats on finding out the hard way that the stock LSD is a piece of crap. Sorry you had to feel beneath the Cheby. That's never a fun sight to see, especially if the other guy is trying to wear the crown high on his head...lol

 

No substitute for having four wheel drive, but the stock LSD is barely better than having an open diff. at least put you an Auburn or Trutrac in there...

I don't know if they use the same LSD in their 2 wheel drives as they do in the Z71s, but I've been impressed many times while out hunting and fishing where the guys with Chevy 4x2s make it where 2wd Fords and Dodges get pulled out by 4x4 owners...

 

You're surprised that a 2WD truck with 20 inch rims and what appear to be the stock goodyear tires is sh*t offroad?

With the stock tires you shouldn't expect much of anything, especially offroad.

 

Yea I have a LSD, I'm sure of that...but I'm not sure why I have one and I didn't special order it? Louisiana is known for its **** roads, I think the country dealership probably orders most of them like that...

and no no no guys, I am defiantly not off-roading in this truck. I have a CJ on 35s for that! This was a simple trip down the levee, its covered in gravel and I got one dang tire on some dry grass. That should not be a challenge for a pick-up...I bought this truck for the pavement but I didn't know it was THAT limited
