Can you level the truck with adjusting the torsion bars? Does it cause any wear on front end components leveling the truck that way?

fellas ... yes if you have a IFS front end with t-bars you can crank them to level the front of the truck, its prety simple just look at the crossmember under the rig you will see two keys with two bolts in them ..those are your bolts you will be crankin on just rember to do each side equal amounts of turns. it will be easier to turn them with the front end on a jack to releave preasure. now after you get done crankin them and gettin the level you want (2'' the max) take your truck in for a alinment!!!! then start looking for longer front shocks 2'' bigger than stock.
and this wont cause anymore stress on the ball joints ect than normal because you are not lifting it upi that much.

cranked em' after work. it was so easy i feel like a tool for asking how to do it. next time i'll look under the truck first. i ened up with 8 turns to get the front close to the rear, it still sits around 1/2-3/4" lower. tires and alignment tomarrow.

one question though, is it ok to go past 8 turns? there is still some thread left on the adjustment bolts.

wow, 8 turns?! most I'd heard of before was 5-5.5 turns. I only went 2-3 to avoid stiffening the ride.

well, if you still got thread left, you still got some room. crank em up some more if you feel like it. maybe the previous owner cranked them the other way?

thats what i was thinking because the adjustment bolt was allmoust fully backed out & the front end felt a little soft allmost "car like". when i measured the rear is sitting at 40" (ground to wheelwell), the front was only sitting at 36 1/2", thats a 3 1/2" difference. now there is only 3/4" difference & there is still around 5/8-3/4" left on the adjustment bolt threads.
