Did ya ever think the reason your plugs were dirty was because they were the wrong type too begin with? You obviously had this guy replace your plugs, albeit in 2009. with platinums. probably talked into it from the auto parts guy. ( he doesn't own the rig) You do!! I replaced my plugs two month's ago, never been replaced since the showroom floor. Just normal discolored formations from heat and what not. Core and insulaters were all intact. Replaced with copper And will wait another 50k before I replace them. unless of course symptoms warrant it. Replace oil with mobile 1 is the best oil out there imo.. I wouldn't pay an extra dime on a purple colored oil. Just not my style. I have nothing bad to say about rp, cept the price and the Well It is only oil we are talking about. This guy thats been around motors for 40 years probably hasn't been reading manuals either for that long.

For those with MDS and want it to work they need the 5w-20. For non MDS you can use it with no issues.

Your friend is mistaken on this point. I run nothing but Penzoil, both in my race car and my truck, as well as the wifes and daughters cars. Never had an oil related failure. I have been running Penz sinse the 70's and have never had a sludge problem on any of my cars. I am hard on my vehicles too. i dont put put around, my truck will run in the mid to high 12 second quarter mile range. I am tough on engines, and have always been pleased with Penzoil.

I gotta call bs without a data logger screen. sc ,diablo, bulldog. I see that posted, and you will have ultimate respect. Fair enough?
I agree with running your vehicles hard, Less sludge, because they are run at a normal operating temperature. Cool motors and cheap oil, make sludge. Running them hard also blows out built up carbon. Thats also a good thing. Sorry not buying the 12.5 plus truck in the quarter.
Maybe if your 4x2, With a 392 stroker. High 13's with a hemi. 4x4 your looking at 14 plus. As always just my humble opinion. Of course i'm posting this without knowing or even seeing your ride. I can be such a tool!! lol.

check out my photos, you will notice a rather large shot of nitrous sitting in the engine compartment. I am also running a comp 268 cam, modern muscle throttle body, p&p heads. headers, 4.56 gears and a torque converter
