My cable only goes in like it should about half the time. I contacted the co directly and they sent detailed instructions regarding that foam piece. But I still end up shoving the cable in by hand. Not a major deal.

 

I got the EZ down thing and installed....kind of a pain. the little oval hole that this toggle type bolt is supposed to go through was too small, but I worked through it....I was confused about the foam piec too, but it actually serves a big roll in keeping that cable in there and not letting it get wedged in between the shock and the truck. It should get heat shrunk on the tailgate cable about in the middle so when you close the tailgate the foam hits the bottom part of the shock......works great now!
