I found that the resonated tips made a difference on my system with the super 40. They cut down about 50% of the drone I was getting from the muffler when I had them on there.

Dont know what to tell you teach, when I removed mine I got a crisper, throatier sound coming from the borla and the drone all but disappeared.

Well, I'm guessing buying the new tips and having them installed would be equal in price to just buying a new muffler and replacing the super 44, which I would prefer to do anyways.

Teach, did the 50 series drone bad at all, or was it tolerable? Everyday I try to start fresh with the Super 44, but I just can't get myself to get used to the annoying bellowing drone. It makes driving the truck unpleasant.

Dirtydog, which magnaflow muffler are you running? Do you have any video clips of the system at all? Do you experience and kind of drone, and does it sound loud still?

Well since my 44 isn't loud, and just drones loud, I'll probably just pick the 50 HD.

I would have to guess that the different results are fueto the difference in mufflers. You have a nice borla muffler which doesn't have a lot of drone and I have a flowmaster which is notorious for its drone.
