Good luck man...you're going to be hating life being at boot during the summer. Don't sweat it though..the hardest part of boot is being micro managed and the head games. Physically the fleet is a lot harder depending on your MOS.
I would have kept the truck and got rid of the car. You can't drive that car everywhere like you can your truck. Besides, if it's in nice shape you could prob get more for it too. If your going into the MC, that means you have to make responsible desicions and move on with life. Not really practical in my eyes to keep the "toy" over a necessity.
Good luck with everything.
You're thinking completely backwards on this subject. A lot of the guys from the '50s and '60s dream of the day when they can buy themselves an old muscle car and go cruising around in it. You can get in a lot more trouble in the truck than the car. In the car, you'd be a lot more afraid of tearing it up, and not being able to find the parts, or having them be a lot more expensive.
But good luck, and thank you very much for your service.
What do you do over there in Pendleton? You on Oceanside? The only 2 times I've been over there was for 2nd phase in boot and MCT.
I work with SecBn and live in oceanside city.
