Default Will my truck handle this towing? A couple pics for the children too

Ive got a lifted Jeep Grand Cherokee that I need to tow back home about 340 miles. My estimate of its weight is probably close to 4000 lbs. Do you think my truck with a 4/2 drop on it would be capable of towing it. It would be sitting on a 2000 lb flat bed trailer so the total weight would be 6000lbs or close to. I know our trucks are able to do this stock but Im concerned with it being lowered. I towed about 4500 lbs the other day and it sure was squatting. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I would except I pretty much blew up the rear axel getting stuck in a river. It's definitely my beater toy but I sure do love her

I don't know how well it would work for towing, but you can get a 4X4 with a blown rear axle home by putting it in 4WD and using the front axle to pull you (like a front wheel drive car).

If you lowered it correctly with shackles and springs (no removing leafs or cutting coils) then it should tow fine.

6000lbs, I would hope you have trailer brakes!!

if the balance of the trailer is correct, and you keep OD off, and keep your speed at a nice safe setting, and don't have to go up and down hills and use the brakes a lot, i think you'll be fine.

what's your tongue weight going to be ?

The tongue is the strongest muscle in the human body

Oops wrong tongue, sorry

Keep most of the weight on the trailer axles. Does your truck have the towing package with under bumper hitch?
