Hey let me know as well i take alot of long trips in my truck and hate stoping so frequently so going from the 26 to the 35 will be great. Does anyone know if there is a difference in the ECU from a truck that has the 26 and the optional 35 available from the dealer...

IDK and that really seems the be the main question. It looks like everything else will work ok. But IMO, if the tank is the same height but only longer then the float would measure the same I would think. Either way HERE is the link to the tank and the link to the site is below for anyone else who may be looking for anything else.

If someone confirmed this was a simple bolt on, at $188 I'd do it for sure.

Well I know some guys have a 34gal tank that came stock on their shortbed and I do know it was an option because it was one I wanted on my truck when I ordered it but I got every option except that one. So I am more than certain it will bolt up. Now I do not know if the straps are interchangable because I do not know if the tank is longer in length or bigger in diameter.

So I clicked the link for the gas tank and it comes up. I changed the year from 2004 ot 2007 and put 34 gallon gas tank in the search and it comes up with nothing. I went back to 2004 and still got nothing. Go to the home page and do search and it gives up nothing. How'd you find the gas tank on that site?

The ECU is the same name for the computer. Some people call it ECU, some call it PCM and some call it ECM. They are all about the same and have the same ''general'' meaning. Let me see if I can help with that link.

Ok, so you get your year/make/model and then go to Fuel System -> Fuel System Components -> Fuel Tank -> then whatever liter engine you have.

Is that what you were wanting to know?
