AN electric leaf blower works better than a hair dryer. You get about a 3" outlet.
Here is the 5.0 Mustang kit

seriously though, that thing has a direct drive motor on the turbine. it's a centrifugal type supercharger (just like a turbocharger, but not driven off of exhaust). turbos spin like 5k-100krpm...I have yet to see an electric motor that can do over 3k.

I work with this guy who has one on his crap-o-lier. He swears it makes his car faster. He catches so much s$%t from us at work. That and the fact he also put a carbon fiber hood on it. He is finally manning up and getting a man car. He ordered one of the new camaro's. Now the question is did he get the 6 or the 8? My bet is that he pussed out and got the 6. Ah hell he's a douche anyway..

there are a couple of gas powered leaf blowers that will go over 600 cfm out there, get 2 of those and one of the filter tube kit things off of ebay where it has two filters instead of one and then rig the blowers up one for each tube, fill the little gas tanks with 2-stroke oil and gas, pull to start then feel the power... LOL

what is funny is that at one time I saw somebody post(dont remember if it was on here somewhere or what) a link to a youtube vid where a dude in an s10 pickup took one leaf blower(running) and shoved it into his intake tube, it actually raised his hp noticeably and then they in turn did the same thing to a stock honda civic and it too showed an improvement also. Its not 100+ like a real supercharger or turbo, but as I remember it was worth lke 10 hp or so. Can you imagine running around with a couple of leafblowers running full rpms under your hood while your idled at a light ready to go... would be a hilarious racket for sure.

I play with R/C jets and use an electric brushless ducted fan motor on them that turn 72K RPM with over 55lbs of thrust. It would be very easy to mod one of these engines with an electronic speed control that works linear with the amount of fuel that is added. You would just have to make a throttle curve which is pretty easy. This system could run off of a 12 volt DC but would pull over 70amps. I get to play with some pretty neat toys at work...

Here is a pic of some small ones that still put out up to 24lbs of thrust...

Here is a pic of the same plane I fly. I got almost 15k wrapped up in this plane...

now if some mechanical engineer will translate that into cfm/psi...

also if you got 15K tied up in the plane then how much is the engine/ducted fan part?
