Once you have owned a 4x4, you will never want a 2x4, but, I have owned a lot of 2wd and with a LTD slip diff and good tires, you can go any where depending on ground clearance, most 4x4 are 3x4 unless you have a front locker.

Most 4x4 get the crap kicked into them with thier oners thinking they can go any where, 4x4 cost a lot more to maintain and break more than a 2wd..

Last winter, I never used my 4x4, Knowing it was thier, if neededis worth it.

I own a 4x4 and want a 2x4. All it does is make the truck slower

It's pretty embarrassing when you try to help someone out and you end up getting stuck. That chevy was a godsend because it was getting dark and the other people called a tow truck. There is no way I was gonna pay a tow truck to get my unstuck.

On another note that cheby almost got all 4 tires burried. He had BF Goodrich Mud Terrain's on it and he had it floored getting my Ram out of the sand. Given I was in neutral though and was making no real effort to get my truck out (my bad).

good thing you got it out before high tide im a nice guy, but not that nice, even if i did have a 4x4. too much salty sand in my undercarriage to save someone who did something stupid like driving a minivan out into the sand lol. most beaches have parking lots

sure does..example, you bring your truck to get repaired from scratches or maybe a dent pulled out, place says they can do it and they screw up, you can sue for damages based on that agreement.

Based on an written estimate/work order like every shop does...yes. That has nothing to do with an verbal agreement where one side will always deny said agreement took place.

yes thats what will hurt you with a verbal contract if the other party denies that there was a verbal contract ever stated at the scene. If they are an honest person and are willing to openly admit that yes, there was a verbal contract that took place, then they will lose the case in a district court.

Only in fantasy land does someone like that exist...hence the reason why verbals don't mean anything. But feel free to prove me wrong...next time something happens to you only get a verbal and then post up the results after your court date.

Back on topic...my last truck was a 4x4 and it came in handy a few times but not enough to make me want another one. I like not having to worry about issues with the whole front-end...i'd rather worry about getting stuck

lol maybe that was a bad example, if you replace a body shop with one of your friends or your neighbors who says they'll fix your vehicle up for you and the mess up, you can be a d*** and sue for damages based off a verbal contract, trust me this stuff exists, there is even such thing as a non-verbal contract where you don't even have to say anything and you can be liable for your actions. Its in the law books, and it's there for a reason, I had a class for an entire year dedicated to business law and about half the book we used in that class was related to different types of contracts. Next time you see a LEO on the side of the road and you still don't believe me, feel free to ask him/her

6 billion people on this planet - you say not one can be honest in a situation like that?

In todays world, that would be a very true statement....not one person in this world can be honest....plain and simple
