Question Free/Cheap Mods???????

I'm looking for some cheap mods to do to my Ram. I guess I'll fill you guys in on my truck. It's a 2006 ram 1500 hemi 4x4. I already have a 2" leveling kit, K&N CAI on the way, and a Banks 3" stainless cat-back exhaust. Now I am looking for anything that is cheap to make my truck faster/better. To give you guys an example of what I'm looking for, My dad has a f250 with the 7.3 and he recently installed a resistor to "trick" the ecm to dump more fuel in the injectors. It feels like a totally new truck and I would like something like that for mine. Any kind on hints or info would be great. Thanks Guys

You could go to the FAQ section and have a look around. That section will answer most of your mods questions...

You can do the same sorta thing....but a 4.7k resistor inline with the IAT sensor.

Yea but if I was you i'd just buy a tuner....you can get a used superchips for a decent price maybe even a predator if you look hard enough.

Do a search for powerwire and narrow it down to the 3rd gen section...all kinds of threads will pop up about the IAT resistor mod and the powerwire.

Yes it is very easy.

Go to radio shack. Buy a pack of 4.7K ohm resistors. 1/4 or 1/2 watt, either one. Bring them home, remove one (1) from the package. Find the IAT sensor that plugs into your breather, it is a small plug with a gray plastic connector and two blue wires coming from it. Only sensor going to it, cannot miss it. Cut one (1) of the two (2) wires that come from it. Either one, doesn't matter.

Tie this resistor into the cut wire. Then tape it up. You are done. View the very detailed image below:
