You could always go with a wider tire too....like 285/60/17's if the 70's are too tall.

How is a 285/60r17 wider than a 285/70r17? That math doesn't make sense in my head.

He was refering to going wider than the 265/70/17 by going with the 285/60/17 which is wider than the 265 but not as much sidewall as the 285/70/17.

Jason did the 285's rub at all before the level? Also did your get your speedo adjusted when you got them and was there any mpg change?

Ah... That makes a lot more sense. I love the look of the 285/70r17. I'll add spacers after I buy my tires to level it out and I'd like the clearance for my tires. I've just never really needed a lift on my truck, so I didn't see any reason to do it now. Thanks for the pics.

No rubbing at all but my truck came with 20 inch rims and 33's so I had no speedo issue either. When I went from 245's to 265's on my Dakota it threw off the speedo by like 5-7mph at freeway speeds as far as I could figure.

As far as gas milage goes I realy have no way to tell my truck only had 250 miles on it when I got the new tires and wheels. During break in the gas milage was all over the place anyway.
