I had an 04. Traded in for an 08. Same basic truck (Quad Cab, 5.7, 20's, 3.92's) and the 04 "felt" faster.

Only diffrence was it had duals (Flowmaster 44 catback) and my new one has a fake Magnaflow in place of the factory muffler with the resonators left installed.

Of course the new one looks faster 'cuz it's Firethorn Freaking Red. At least the "PoPo's" seem to think so....

 

with that tmr mod, all else equal you'll take him, if you put the stockers back on. if one of you has higher gearing then the other, that one will likely win. but if you got the tmr delete AND wz's vs his 20's, you'll take him

 

i think it would be close but the lift and tires will hurt you

 

Same 345hp rating since they came out in the trucks. 06-08 1500 Hemi's have MDS.

 

Line them up and run them!

 

mds changes shift points. 06 is faster I also heard that 06 Red Regular cabs are the fastest hemi trucks

 

Ok so he does have mds but that doesn't really effect us. And his truck came with the 20's and mine had the 20's on it when I bought it used but the door sticker says it came with 17's so I'm guessing he has the higher gearing. Who knows. Maybe we'll just have to head to the track one of these weeks and see what happens. Ill see what happens with the 35's on vs his stock tires. One advantage I might have is he's never raced on a track before and I used to go every week years ago. Who knows..... If we decide to run em ill post the results. Maybe ill secretly pick up a tuner! Hehe

 

I don't see how this is debatable. If he has a 2006 5.7, he has Mds.
