Default Is an 03 hemi faster/slower than an 06 hemi?

Only reason i ask is my younger brother just bought a 2006 qcsb 5.7 and only did a dynomax dual exhaust and a k&n intake and he keeps telling me his truck is faster and i have no chance... now i have an 03 qcsb 5.7 and my mods include a custom dual exhaust with the flowmaster 40, a custom homemade intake, a power wire, royal purple synth oil, and the tmr mod you can do on a 03. one downfall is i have a 3" body lift and torsion bar level running 35's on 17's and he has stock 20's with cooper st's normal size i believe. i have 42000 miles and he has 40000 so wear/tear is about the same. now if i find/borrow a set of stock wheels/tires and head to the track, will i be quicker? the same? or slower? i just dont know gearing in either truck so dont ask. both trucks are in very good shape, his is just cleaner cause hes a neat freak.

we had a neutral friend drive both trucks and he said he thinks my brother will have me on take off but i should take him top end.

i just want bragging rights cause the older brother should always kick the younger brothers A$$!!!

oh and i forgot to mention, i have a bunch of decals, and flames behind my door badges so i should ATLEAST have 10-15 more horsepower from them alone!! hahaha

if he has an 06 then he does unless he disabled it with a tuner. now to the race it will be close but u will loose with 35s. if u can find some stock wheels and tires that will be better and then it will depend on the gearing

I do not really think you have a chance with your current setup. Those larger tires really bog down the gears. That is something else what gears do you have and what does your brother have? If you have the 3.92's and he has the 3.21's you'll get him off the line but top end he'll walk all over you. I agree with what someone else said loos the 35's and you'll probably take him but really we need the gear info to give you good info.

yes mds is standard but that doesnt have anything to do with the race. you can look in the glove box for the gears. there should be a sticker in there

I am quite curious to see how this race turns out.
(especially since it might be on a racetrack)

I think only the regular cabs have the 3.21 gearing option.

If those 20's came with the truck (factory stock) then you'll have 3.92's, they did that to offset the massive wheels.
