would 100 watt lights be to much for behind the grill? I was just wondering because i saw some light at my local hardware store that i though would work

No I think 100w is good. In the DIY guide he uses 100w bulbs instead of the stock 55w bulbs.

This is why ebay is the best place to get these lights. There is no place else that you can get them at such a low price.
