Question Time to play "Whats that Smell"

Got to work today got out of the truck and there is a smell coming from the truck, has the smell of burnt rubber crossed with hot metal with a slight oil smell... No leaks that I could see when I left this morning. Truck also does not seem to be shifting as smooth as it use to (pre-dyno run). No Codes, all fluids are clean and full. Am I just being paraniod here or is there something i need to check?

Could be as simple as something you ran over on the road that may have splashed up onto a hot surface.
Sounds to me like you did all you can. Check all fluids for level and a burnt smell. I'd say not to worry about it unless it's still there after a couple days...

check for balogne in your engine bay, on your exhaust pipe, and in your brakes. Happened to me once.

I supposed the WOT throttle of the dyno runs could have done something, but without a code, gonna be tough to track down...

Your catback...Does it go near the spare tire? i would check that location out.
Also, as Hammer stated, could be a bag or something that got sucked against your pipe and melted.

Im guessing you have already looked at everything under the hood but when I put on my headers my AC lines got free andwere hanging close to them and only under heavy load and or acceleration I would smell burning rubber and somthing else then would go away ..... thats on a 4.7L not sure if its the same deal on the hemi's. Some foil heat tape and all was well..
