just got done with my eyelids. 2 coats ouside, 2 coats inside. figured while i already had the assembly apart painting it black, i may as well put 2 coats inside. absolutely zero light gets through...even at night it doesnt glow at all.

 

I like to see as far down the road as possible
No eyelids for me.

 

i can still see far down the road just cuts the glare off of little cars rear views

Not to my tastes but you did a good job none the less. I, like LX man prefer to see as far as possible. I like things simple and uncluttered.

 

i think they look real good and imnot that big a fan but now you got me thinking i got some tint left over i may try using that....

 

I can't help but tell ya'll those are like brand new lights and bulbs.... and thats almost 4 coats of tint.... and its only marking out a little glare.... i can still see pretty far with the head lights... i mean half of it is that my lights are turned up so i can see far but thats because of deer and stuff at night from georgia....

 

the headlight projects the light forward so you can see the same distance with or without the eyelid, it just looks BA and it keeps the light out of oncoming driver's eyes, some people with bright lights don't direct their lights down on the road and the light just goes anywhere it wants, I know I can't stand people who have headlights like that

how did you go about niteshading the headlight? Did you tape off the bottom part of the headlight and just cover the grille and paint above? Or did you remove the headlights, tape them off and paint them?

The eyelids look good. All these pics of people putting eyelids on their trucks makes me want to do mine. It gives the front end an angry look.
