how did you go about niteshading the headlight? Did you tape off the bottom part of the headlight and just cover the grille and paint above? Or did you remove the headlights, tape them off and paint them?
lol the head lights are only like 3 bolts and 3 screws so i pulled them of and you'll love how i taped them off lol

I used old envelopes to suck of the dripping paint.... i taped the top of envelopes leaving hang off and put them on the headlights.... and then sprayed the paint good even coats and when dry... i pulling the evelopes off with the tape on them and they came out perfect.... im a redneck rigger so i use whats laying around... that and i used the tag i got from the dealership i bought the truck from that thin plate they put on your truck... not like i need it anymore

what kind of paint/tint are you using to do this? and where can you get it?

and i notice that my headlights look a little different than everyone elses. they're slightly bigger (below).
wondering if anyone has done it on these, and if they look good.

02Steve, this is the first glance ive seen of yer lights since they have been done, they look really good!

Myram, I like them better since you extended them out. Looks like I might pull out the ole silver, and do some more work. I have to touch up one of my doorhandles where somebody decided to slam their door into mine, chip it as well as the handle.

They all look good guys!

dang it. lol. One thing about being slow at work, I have time to do all my mods. lol.

ilovemyram, there are pre-made kit for your lights. The eyelid kits are actually made for the 06-08 year, specifically because of the flat top section of your lense. The guys like us who are making them ourselves, are doing it because there are no manufactured kits.

Nice to see it on a white truck. Mine is white and I've been debating to do eyelids or not. Think I just may...

I did mine with Krylon black gloss paint and it worked like a charm. Its made for plastics and what not so i just barely sanded the light with number 3 wetordry sand paper and then i put on 3 coats of clearcoat. I didnt use nightshades at all. And i only did the outside and NO light gets through. ORT you definitely need to put eyelids on your truck, i think it would look BA for sure. Ilovemyram, you can do yours the same way you just have to paint more light, also, they make eyelids for yours on ebay if you just search "dodge ram eyelids" they are like 60 bucks or something.
