I've got an idea! What about those motion sensor spot lights that you mount on garages. You could rig something up with an inverter and have the bright 500w spotlight shine on anyone that get's too close to your truck......aaahahahaha That would be freakin classic.

ok well that would be added to the alarm. the alarm on the outside and that on the inside of the cab. it would be too loud for them to try to take the radio out

inside the cab...lmao What if it accidentally went off while you were in there or you hit the button on accident. That would be a bit overkill to aid in the event of a theft!

ive never once hit the panic button accidently... it doesnt seem overkill to me for 6 bucks compared to your idea of motion lights

man that sucks. my second gen was broken in almost the same way. but they put a hole in the door and tore my already cracked dash to pieces for a broken jensen radio. little did they know, the radio wouldnt turn on.

oh well i sold that truck and joined 3rd gen club.now i know not to put anything shiny on my dash unless i can take it off.

Well, your alarm did it's job and I suppose your lucky they didn't break it entirely and it shattered all over your interior. They could have damaged your door...etc.. it could have been much worse. It could have been a gaping hole in the side of your truck with it downpouring out or shall I say In...lol

The motion lights idea was just a joke. If a theif is gonna stick around while your "outside" alarm is going off. I'm sure they will deal with one blasting on the inside of the cab! There are alarms that have motion detection sensors to warn if anyone get's too close, but then it's easy for a cat or squirrel to set it off.
