Well there is nothing wrong w/ magnaflow I got it b/c I think they make a good quality product that will last, I'm just not sure how much noise/drone you can take. Anyway if you haven't already gotten rid of the factory y-pipe you could just have them put on a DI/DO or DI/SO and run the pipes to the muffler eliminating the need for a y-pipe.

just wanted to update:

so a week ago i ordered the 28" long muffler. it didnt get here in time for my trip to South Carolina. let me tell you, the 14" muffler sucked on the highway. it just drones the entire time, it even gave me a headache on the way home. the thing drones like no other at 2k. so luckily i got home and the 28" was sitting on my door step. got it in today and its perfect. just a little louder than stock at idle, but rumbles when you get on it. also no drone. you notice its there but not stupid loud.

so recap: 14"= loud and horrible highway drone
28"= little more rumble than stock, no highway drone

It lets you know from the inside and out. Of course they hear you. Even with your windows up it's a beautiful rawr!

thats the muffler. and yea i just cut the old muffler out and put a new one in. got some piping from pep boys. so the stock pipe comes down, then my new piping replaces the missing piece, goes into the muffler. then the stock tail pipe that came out of the stock muffler goes right into the exit of the new muffler.

drove around today, and I am much happier than with the smaller muffler. it was just too loud
