Default Found what that CLUNK noise was!

Well in my last post about my level kit, I told you all about that mysterious CLUNKING sound my truck made every time I would hit even the smallest bump...well the sound was being made by the shocks that the shop I had it doen thru put on, the 2500 heavy duty shocks, the ones that are like two pieces I guess you could say...yes I know, they are dump for putting 2500 shocks in a 1500, but, the problem was the outside of the shock was hitting and denting my springs, thus causing the mysterious clunk noise. So tomorrow, that same shop will be installing a complimentary pair of Pro comp ES9000 shocks for free...sons of bi**hes lol...but hopefully that will get rid of that stupid clunking, even tho I know it will..

After my level I had 2500 shocks put on. You just need the 2500 shocks instead of 1500 shocks for the extra 2 inches

yea, but will the Pro Comp ES9000 do the same as the 2500 shocks, these ones I have on there now are messing up my springs...

I dont know, I have had them on for over a year with no trouble. It rides better than before actually. And I haul *** around turns and curves and stuff

I guess my question is, are they going to settle more than the 2500 shocks have because my truck is slightly higher in the front than the read which is what I want...

Nope, the shocks have no bearing on ride height, that's the springs' job, hence the spacers over them. The springs may sag a bit over time, but the shocks won't have anything to do with it...

Go get a set of $25 blocks for the back. I dont know if you even need new U-Bolts if they are .5" or so.
