It's not that I don't like the sound of the exhaust cutout, I'm just always very hard to please initially, always have been like that. I think I'll enjoy the cutout much more once I have the motor installed, right now it's just loud all the time, or quiet all the time depending upon if I put the manual plate on or not.

Last night I took it out when I got home from work and I really loved it. I let my brother take the truck out so I could hear it and the dumbass peels out of our street and the adjacent streets around our house. I could see my neighbor jump out of her livingroom chair and run to the window, she was pissed, and so was I lol. Then I walked down the street to get away from the house to watch the truck go by, and then my brother drives into the cumberland farms parking lot and peels out right in front of the door. After he destructs the entire street, he gets out lets me drive. Of course by this point my truck is fricken tainted. I let him get out on the side of the street so he could hear it, but then he calls me to tell me there is a cop looping back and forth with a flashlight. So I went down some stupid narrow dead end road and "tried" turning around, and the damn thing was so loud lol. All of the residents were yelling at me and I was just so pissed off at my brother, I badly wanted that switch so I could mute it. I finally managed to make it home going like 10mph. Case and point, I love it lol.

You are all over the place with your exhaust likes and dislikes. You went from not really liking the cutout here:

I hope you finally found something that you truly like and don't end up having to change it again.

Regardless if I like the sound or not, it's truly the only realistic option. It's the only possible way I can have an exhaust system with the ability to not being full time commited to it. The fact I can completely shut my exhaust system up with the touch of a button is the reason why I spent the money and just had the cutout put in. I've yet to get a real chance to drive the truck around with the motor put in, so that will be the most enjoyable time. I'm having a stereo shop install it Tuesday. Are guys putting the switches right next to the cigarrette lighter?

I've always thought straight pipes (excluding I6 turbo Diesels) sound like crap on most engines. It's all noise, no tone.

What size dmh cutout is needed before the muffler on a stock 2007 hemi? Also what is the flowtech? Is that the electric valve?

The pipe between the y-pipe and the muffler is 3". The flowtech is the dump pipe that gets grafted into your exhaust system and attach the cutout valve to it.

That's kind of what I meant about a flowmaster sounding better. I think the "tone" of a flowmaster is much more gathered. The cutout is far louder, but it's not necessarily a better quality tone. I am fine with it though because it's not like it's full time, it's really just meant to have when I want to be a complete ******* lol.
