Hey guys I found this pickup locally and the asking price is $15,000. He said he could move a little on it. It has new tires on the rear 4,000 mi and 12,000 mi on the front tires. Its 2005 model. Everything on it is stock.
There is a 3-4 in crack in the fron bumper around the fog light where the owner says he bumped a landscape rock on the side of his drive that was covered by snow.
Would the '06 5 spoke rims fit on this pickup? I assume they would.
What do you guys think?

whats on the odometer? 14K?
edit: just saw the mileage posted...I would say he can go down with the price as he says a bit more since he is almost hitting 50K miles.
I bought my 02 a couple years ago for 16K with 14K miles.
He wants 15K for an 05 with 47K miles.
ehh..push him a little bit

From your post, my concern would be the tire wear differentials. Why is there 8,000 miles difference on the front and rear tires? To me this suggests either a lack of basic maintenance; i.e. regular rotation of the tires, OR beating the vehicle and tearing up the rear tires.
I would check this out in more detail; maybe even get a "trusted" mechanic to go over the truck first.
RE: asking price. I looked on the web and for that year in that mileage range, in my area, the prices range from about $12,000 to nearly $20,000. So I'm not much help there.
Good luck, but I would be a bit cautious!

Yeah, I'd question the difference on the tire mileages.
If it's a Hemi, a 4x4 and clean, it's right about where it should be at $15k, get him down a bit on it and it's a good deal.
If it's a 4x2, he's about $4k out of line on it. Hell, the dealers here were blowing out brand new '08 4x2 QC SLTs for around $17k when the '09s started hitting the lots!!!

A Bit high for the mileage and the cracked bumper. i would take the price of the bumper fix right off theasking price since he wants top dollar. Can't get top dollar for broken items!
ALSO, tire wear difference??? Your gonna need to buy 4 new tires if that's a 4wd. You cannot have much difference in tire wear all around for a 4wd.
My thoughts are he got a flat tire that wasn't repairable so he bought 2 to match on the axle.
Is this guy the original owner? Does he have ANY service reciepts?
Basically, your gonna need a trans flush, both differential fluids changed out, transfercase done, maybe coolant flush. i'm willing to bet the transmission fluid was never touched and prob a while since the diff changes. Now at 47kmi the brake pads are getting low, rotors too. Lots of things need to be mainained at the 50kmi mark!
Unless everything has been meticulously maintained with reciepts, i wouldn't pay a penny over $13,500 if it's 4x4 because fluid changes are costly which is part of regular maintenance that needs to be done same as tires, brakes...etc. Plus the front bumper damage that must be accounted for. Everything adds up.
To answer your question. Yes the 06 rims will fit.
