Default and another chrome thing bites the dust!

so ive been working up the nerve for the past few days to black out my head lights and decided to do it today. overall went well, thanks to many others postin on there experiences. i took pics along the way just cause i have nothing else better to do. trucks coming together since ive come back. hids are in the mail thanks to twiggy over on dodge talk, new grille is on its way(gonna be painted to match rest of truck) and im havin the ole flowmaster taken off and replaced with a cherry bomb extreme tomorrow. has anyone put anything other than chrome tips on their truck if so what color did you go with?

for reference

now these are the little boogers that hold on the reflector, they are studs but on the back side theyve been melted to hold them in. i took a razor and cut them back to shape and remelted them wit a blowtorch to put them back in place

i put black atv silicone as insurance around the edges. hold them together but be careful you dont over due it cause they could still be soft from the oven!

First off, the headlights look great. To answer your question, I have black tips on my truck.

Great choice in mufflers, I cut my Flowmaster Super 44 for the Cherry Bomb Extreme, and never looked back. The Extreme sounds and flows so much better, enjoy the low end power you'll have back with the Cherry Bomb.

it wont affect the alignment of headlights unless you intentionally change the adjustments

beers comin along great. so great infact that i forgot to take more pics lol! so black tips are out there, did yall buy them like that or did you paint them? well to tell you the truth just take care of the stuff thats on it and you wont need any silicone, i didnt but i used it any way cause i bought it. might as well use it right? lol after i used as much as i could on the lights i went around the house using it on other things lol! man cant wait till i get the extreme on there. ive had alot of compliments on my exhaust saying it sounds good but when i got on it, it actually got quieter! oh i also got a light bar that i installed tonight too, but dont tell my wife..... i was supposed to spend that money on food this week! heres the pic of the light bar:
