Now this has been fun....all the talk about who is badder.... hell Im 58 and have had 'em all, Cuda's, cobra's, corvettes, chevys, and even a volvo... and its all what you want at the time...I chose my Ram to buy because it was a hemi, and it looks good and I got it cheap from a friend that needed to sell it...I dont give two craps if it can beat a Lightening, all I know is that my buddy has a lightening and he paid a big, big chunk of money and its good at smokin tires, but thats it.... my insurance is better, my truck looks as good, and I can carry more people, heheheeeee... When I got back from Vietnam, I had a cuda 383hp, ran like a raped ape, and horsed it up more than needed, but it just gave me tickets, and stares....now being disabled, old (LOL) and having fun with life, I love my hemi and will **** the tires when I want and have fun doin it...plus she gets lots of stares.....ya, you can beat my ***, and I probably could snipe you at 400 yds (LOL) but it dosnt matter to me...so guys enjoy your trucks, and cars.... their there for that reason, and jkeep up the bantering, I LOVE IT.....have a great day ya'll.....................GUIDO

My first car was a 70 cuda with a 383ci (don't know the hp). I still cry when I see what they sell for today.

your sig needs to say 02 Jetta POS I got rid of my 1.8T for a 05 Lancer RalliArt 2.2 NA that will put your chipped 1.8T to shame.

You don't know what you're talking about. RalliArt has a 162 hp 2.4 liter engine. I fail to see how that's going to put a chipped 1.8t to shame in any category, except length of warranty.
Let's talk features and I'm getting this directly off Mitsubishi's website:

Here's what's standard on the Jetta GLI (closest model) that you can't get on your Lancer:
leather wrapped steering wheel
cassette (in addition to the cd)
illuminated vanity mirrors
anti-theft security system
ooh, GLI's got a 6 speed, but mine's only a 5 speed like yours? Or did you get the slowmatic?
stock power - ralliart 162hp/162lb-ft, GLI 180hp/173lb-ft, chipped 1.8t 209hp/240lb-ft
you've got more legroom, more headroom, narrower shorter and longer overall dimensions, more passenger volume
i've got a bigger trunk
yours weighs about 250 lbs less, you've got a smaller gas tank, in town it says you get better mileage and on the highway they're the same, but mine gets better numbers than the EPA estimates

And then there are the options. I've got heated leather seats, do you? Steering wheel controls for the cd player/changer?

So what exactly was it that you were thinking was going to put my troubled little volkswagen to shame? Yeah, I'll be the first to admit it's a POS because it's been in the dealer for warranty work 4 times in the past year, but what else have you got?

How about bolting on a Kenne Belle Supercharger? Its still under developement but from what I've read the 5.7 will put out over 500hp. The kit will sell for around $3500 and will require about 15 hours of labor. Add it all up its still cheaper than the SRT 10. That would be one sweet HEMI!

The new Lightning was at the Dallas Auto Show... so I figured I would take a couple of pics of it, so now we know what us Dodge guys are going to be up against when they finally go into production. Couldnt find any lit on it or any description of power, engine or anything... so that still remains to be seen.

I like the truck, but cant imagine the price tag..... too high for me...rather have my Hemi, and add some mods and still be below the price tag of the Frightening......but I must say they ARE getting creative, will be interesting on what they have for int, and ext colors and styles.......
Anyone know what its gonna cost???

Interesting as that lightning's hood resembles more and more of a RAM look.

As I understand it the stock Hemi has 600hp capacity. Let's try to keep in context here. Lightning/SRT10, Hemi/Fords other crap trucks. Stock vs Stock, Mod vs Mod. HEMI will prevail as it does now.
