Default To paint or not to paint?

Alright, I've got these procomp wheels that are a constant hassle keeping clean. Mainly because of all this garbage that, no matter how many times I polish and clean them, this "gunk" keeps reappearing.

With Teach's rim write up I'm seriously considering painting these bad boys black. What would you recommend? Would these wheels even look good in black? Also, if someone knows a way to keep this crap off for good, I'd appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!

If you don't want to paint, there are different methods.
You can polish the hell out of them and get all the corrosion off and then put a liberal coating of wax on it, should help keep the rust down for awhile.

there are these tings called Kleen wheels or something like that, they are basically discs that go behind your wheel they are supposed to keep all that junk from your brakes from getting on your wheels.I think you can get them in black or stainless. Cheack some places that sell wheels they should have them.

Ok here they are i found em'.... http://www.superiorcarcare.net/kleenwheeldu.html

oh nice find. Those would probably do the trick. I am starting to lean towards the black idea the more I think about it. I may photoshop it and see what they look like. They're nice wheels when clean, and the wax idea may work pretty good too.

You might still want to think about the Kleen Wheel things after you paint them to protect your work.
