Default 2007 RAM 1500 Quad Key remote

Anyone know where I can get a remote key cheaper then the dealer? I bought my first Truck 2007 Ram Quad Cab 1500 Silver 4x4 SLT. It is my dream Truck. Love so far. Only came with 1 key and need another but don't have the extra $250 plus laying around.

Default 2007 RAM 1500 Quad Key remote

I have only one key. Is there a special process that I can go thru to program it since I have one key and not two?

I've bought remote keys off ebay before and just make sure that they are for your year. it comes withthe paperwork on how to program it if you have a working remote. if you don't have a working remote you have to buy one (cheapest places is ebay) then take it to your dealer and they will program it. Dodge's have a mirror feature on the remotes so they can learn the right signal from an active remote. It is simple. buy one and don't worry since you have one that already works!

You need two keys in order to program them yourself. Since you only have one, you'll need the dealer to do it for you. I would buy the Ebay fobb and have the dealer program that.

Did you buy that truck from a dealer recently? i would argue and make them program it for free dammit.
Eitherway, Ebay fobb is gonna be cheaper. Dealer shoud only charge 1hour diagnostics fee for the programming. Like $90 or so whatever their rate is. that will save you a good chunk of change.
All you have to do is buy a genuine key/fobb off ebay. Have a locksmith cut the key and then bring the key to your dealer and say that the key isn't working......lol try that, but don't tell them you bought the key online. maybe they will re-program it for free???

thats not true! When I bought my truck it did not have any wireless key. I bought one and had to take it to the dealer they programed it for free since they didn't have one for me. I bought a second one and i was able to follow the instructions that came with the key and wham it worked! It ONLY requires ONE working keyless remote!

i bought this for mine. you need to have 2 other keys that are the same to be able to program it. i had to take it to the dealer to get it cut and programmed, but it only cost $40. Locksmiths wont do anything with the keys because they have the chip in them. They told me that the dealer has to do it.
