ok i have got my fiance buying me a cai for my birthday and ive looked at a few and seen a few homemade ones but the homebrew just isnt for me and i love the bfi and xdi ? is it there both nice and well a lil too pricey well im down to some cost effective ones and want opinions and possible pics of setups under 100 bucks ive looked at the carparts wholesale velocity one and would like to know who has it and what they think of it and also i heard someone just recently got one on ebay from chromeintakes is it a full intake and id like to see that install also any help is appriciated and yes i know this topic has been mutalated but im looking at those two as of right now any suggestions are also appreciated thanks guys.....and ps what stage would be best the ebay one offer stage 1-3 im lookin at a 3....not sure the benefits on this ....

 

well you can search..would be the easiest, i dont think alot of people are gonna answer this, but i got an ebay intake and was not impressed AT ALL...the pic on ebay showed a big *** 3" pipe and a 4x8" k&n filter, BIG well what i got in the mail was an 1.5" pipe and a friggin 2x3" autozone cheapie filter, what do you expect for 50 bucks tho eh..built my intake for about 80 bucks and im EXTREMELY happy with it its big and beefy just search under my name and im sure ull find my posts of the ebay intake and my new intake

 

The velocity is just a mopar/AEM intake clone and the only known problem w/ this is the bracket that mounts the end w/ filter can break. Plenty of people have had it break and rigged up a way to hold it. You can also find it on ebay sometimes under the name bomz or bombz, I think. If you get that intake I would replace the filter w/ a good one like the AEM dryflow. I have the spectre intake which is 160 and is also a mopar clone except the mounting bracket has been moved to fix the breaking problem.

 

yes ive searched i been sittin here for well over 2hrs looking at thread apon thread and just wanted some str8 up answers from whos had what not just a bunch of crap and more or less pics of how they look installed and how they perform i know its not gonna give me 100 horse this isnt my first rodeo but the last truck i bought this " short ram intake " beefy sound warm air not the best or the worst.....

Heres my ebay special. Works great, sounds great and yes it does get cool air when moving just like any other intake. Ive watched the temps on my IAT with my SC3815. Price was about $50

Yeah Weed, nice horns, I have a set of my own! I ditched the chrome tho and painted it with VHT's new wrinkle finish black paint. That stuff is tough!
