Default Lsd????

I changed the fluid in the rear today and im not sure what i have. The data spec plate is missing from the glove box so thats no help.I called the dealer and they ran the VIN and for some reason they couldnt tell me niether.there was no info on the spec sheet about it.Parts guy was baffled,he said he had never not seen it before.

So,i pulled the cover today and im still not sure.It kinda looks like a open diff.Only thing that has me buffaloed is mated behind the big bull gear theres another thin toothed gear. Does anyone happen to have a picture they could post of a LSD diff?
I was gonna take one and post it but my son has the camera at a golf tourney.

Thnx for any info.

The toothed ring you are talking about is part of the sensor used to count the differential rpm. The other part of the sensor is plugged into the upper housing.

That's a good price.
The aftermarket units I saw were in the $450 range.

it's a good price because they can't give them away. Stock LSD's suck donkey ballz. Don't get one if you are looking for one. Heck, I'd sell ya mine when it comes out for like $100 if you are really desperate...lol

Put your rear tires on grass and step on the gas. Then check to see which or if both tires were spinning! Cuz' the newer LSD's and Open carriers look identical to someone who doesn't know!
