WOW....Jarrod....do people even ride back there....lol....it looks sick man im sure its loud as well....

For the surround sound thing Dog is right...its kind of pointless unless you are going to be watching movies in 5.1, i know you said you have music dvds and that would work for those but other than that it would be lost when you were playing music from a normal source.

I just left my truck with my friend. He is going to work me a custom enclosure like that one for me. Except I am going with only 2 speakers. Ill try to get some pics when its done. Thanks for the idea.

As far as surround sound goes, I don't want it for the movies. I have many DVD's that have DTS and DOLBY 5.1 Audio tracks, My favorite being the eagles Dvd. I also have many radio type productions that were produced in dolby 5.1.

Also If I can get a processor as good as my yamaha decoder, Standard stereo audio can me processed into a mock surround that sounds pretty damned good.

Rarely in a home surround are you equal enough distance to the speakers to produce accurate surround. On top of that rarely in a home setup is the room perfectly square. This is why they allow you to adjust the individule speakers and compensate for the room. The setup is the same for a vehicle audio system.

i cannot think of who had a computer based custom dvd install for the newer Ram trucks? He was askin like $2g's for everything, processor, custom made LCD ginourmous touch screen. like big, 9" or something custom flush mounted. Was a good deal, but requires a bit of storage space for the external drivers etc.. It was someone on this forums about 6 months ago??????

05RamMan...I know that this may be a dumb suggestion but some people actually think that surround sound makes music sound better but it doesn't so if your intended purpose is soley for music then I wouldn't recommend it. besides if music were recorded in surround sound then it would suck because every instrument would sound as if were coming from one speaker in the cab depending on where it's located during the recording... but for movies..yes i intend on doing the same thing.
