Due to be released this September, 2009, Nitto promises the Trail Grappler MT will be the next best thing to hit the Grappler line up. For those of you who love the Terra Grappler but want a little more bite and off-road performance without stepping up to the Mud Grappler, this tire is for you. Many of you will notice the similarities between this tire and the Toyo Open Country (Nitto's sister company) make no mistake this tire is all that and much more. Nitto manufactures their Grapplers with the most up to date manufacturing technologies. Nitto uses segmented molds that fit together like puzzle pieces, and continuous wound steel belting. These two manufacturing processes alone make a huge difference when it comes to balancing. They also help to dramatically reduce the tires chance for tread separation. Add to these, Nitto's highly sophisticated rubber compounds and the fact that Nitto builds 90% of their Grapplers in the USA and you have a winning combination.

Not surprising, the Cepek Fun Country II has been the only true A/T M/T hybrid for years and has been one of the most successful tires ever offered. Interco jumped on the bandwagon about a year ago with the M16 and has had great reviews on them. It is only a matter of time before the other major players jump in to get a piece of the action...

Any idea how something like that would be in the snow on the road? I had a set of 35 bfg mts and was not to thrilled with their snowy road performance, if I had them siped it may have been better.

Would love a MT but need it to be good in the snow
