I had some problems with my AC conditioner that pissed me off, but once it was finally fixed, I was glad I didn't give up. I've heard many, many complaints about Fords from motor problems to payload amounts (couldn't haul much)

Back orders are back orders, if the dealer does not have it in stock they have to wait, unless they can work a deal with another dealer that has the part.

Could ask Parts/Service if he can find one.

If you like DODGE then try trading in on another one. I've got 112k on my 05 and never (in the time I've had it) had any major issues. Just routine maintenance. Don't give up on the RAM!

Much of the delay may be because of Chrysler's suppliers being down during the restructuring. Now that production is starting back up, the suppliers should be doing the same.

like i said in my original post, this isn't the first time it's been back to dealer. they had it for 3 1/2 weeks last fall because the door that changes what vents the air blows out was broken. they tear my dash apart and then find out that the company that makes the part no longer does business with dodge. so they order an entire box that will have the part needed. again it's on back order but only for a few days but when it comes in it's broken. damaged in shipping they said. finally get my truck back and it smells like a garage. i love my dodge but i don't have much patience left.
