exactly why my shop has a 15 footer. I mean, if you can afford it and its not going to be killing you...why risk cutting your market due to size restrictions? are you going to have multiple bays? plenty of shops around here have 2 or 3 regular sized bay doors and then 1 large door since i mean, your shop market is going to be more everyday cars rather than our sex machines every single day. unless youre going to be specializing?

either way, i always think it looks pretty sweet seein the large bay doors on a shop...one in Nags Head, NC has a 3 or 4 bay shop, all with HUGE bay doors and it looks badass!

wow thanks for the great response guys! And sorry I guess I should have been more specific, this is for my shop on my new acreage for my personal use. But some of the guys have a good point with the motorhome. And yea I'll be using it mostly to build and park my toys but maybe one day i'll have something that needs a 15' door so why wouldn't I do it now? Thanks for the response guys, helped a lot!

haha well I was totally on a different page thinking it was for a commercial shop!

but since its a private garage/shop...I would say hands down, if its not going to kill your bank account (not sure what the cost difference is) 15'...my old man just built this garage for trucks/boats. think the large bay door is around 20 foot or bit below! <3 haha the second picture is the "regular" bay door but is slightly smaller than the normal sized garage door.

its all completed now with complete living apartment upstairs...LOVE it!
