The title kind of sums its up, but when i de-badged the truck it left the spongy thing that was stuck on back of the letter. how do i get this off without damaging the paint?

Clean with Goof-off and then wax. That's what I did and worked great.

For which part? Wd-40 removes gunk and grime from paint and it does not hurt it, and the plastic scraper is used to get the corner up so you can peal it off. If you take your time and work it right there is no damage what so ever on the paint. I also used the eraser wheel for a while but that thing got me really nervous when using it because of how hot it got.

Your finger nail, then an adhesive remover and a peice of cloth. The 3M aerosol can of adhesive remover worked great.
