It appears that the bad connection was at the connector. Either the plug itself or where the wires are crimped into the connectors.

I had the same problems with my 03Ram. You can buy the ignition box from the dealership for around $85 and it comes with all the wires. I just replaced the wires that were in bad shape. The blower motor on my truck was the plug. I was told by the dealership you can't buy that plug. The fix took less than an hour not a very big job at all. No problems since thank god.

i order the switch from advance auto today for 23.99. I am goin on monday to a coulpe of junk yards to find the connector. What years would i be able to try to pull it from besides an 03 or does it have to be specified by motor size?

ok got some good new i found the connector that i need. I got the wire harness that goes under the dash near the column. It has like 6 connectors on it. I got it for $25. So my question is what is the best way to connect the new plug in? I was just goin to cut them and use butt connectors to splice them together. Then wrap them in shrink wrap. Is that good enough?
