Alright so this is the one I have now:

This is the one I want to order today out of the 03-04 rams:

Does anyone think this will be a problem??? I found the right part No. for it now so as long as the radiator mounts did not change between 04 and 05 will it work?

It will bolt right up.

I think they went to the smaler size in 05 because the big ones actually cool to much for folks in the north during winter.

Alright sweet, thank you.

Now I just got to print out the pic of the larger cooler and give the parts guy the right part number so he doesn't get confused again. When I went down there last night the guy at the counter said they didn't exist on any year ram and when I called them after I looked up the part number later that night the guy I was talking to said that the bigger cooler didn't exist for any year ram too, until I gave him the part number over the phone and he said "uh...... well..... where did you get that number from..... I've never even seen that part number before now". And then couldn't tell me anything else about the parts or why the switch was made or if the mounting points had changed between the 04 and 05 rams. If you are going to work in the parts department where people do special order parts you should at least know something about the parts you sell. I can understand not knowing a part number that is rarely used, but the radiator mounts should something they could look up... Oh well It looks like another week wait, so next weekend possibly.

What year did they do away with the pressurized overflow tank and go back to the cap on the radiator? That would suggest a different radiator as well. The 04 looks to have the cap on the tank, does yours?

I didnt read the entire post .. but ..

My 06 Mega cab came stock with a primary and small secondary cooler. I added a third rated at 24000lbs ... I pull a 5k camper .... I think the additional cooler cost me $80 bucks at Auto Zone, Napa, Advance Auto .... and then another $80 or so to put it in. Done .... doesnt hurt anything and its a cheap addition. Its mounted right on the primary radiator and you wouldnt even know it was there unless I pointed it out.

Yes I have a pressurized cap on mine and the mounting backets appear to be in the right spots based one images I have seen. The only thing that appears to be different is the caps location (as compaired to the pic above).

Just going to replace the original with the new one. The extra 10 rows of cooling should be enough to handle the temps, But I'll hold onto the original one just in case. If we have to run them both we'll run them in a series, parallel wont do anything for it except take the path of least resistance.
