Stock Hemi should beat an Acura... Right?

Could have been... i didnt get that good of look at it. i only noticed because he was reving his engine next to me and it sounded like crap with the sh*ty muffler he had. i did beat him off the line though, i think he only passed me cause i started letting up at around 65mph. i didn't want a a cop to be down the road and nail me doing 30-35 over.

In the 6-7 Rams I have challenged, I only lost to one... but then again - I drive this lil Orange Thing...
It weighs about 2k less than yall trucks at least... it has 148-152HP (@ diff RPMs) and I can usually get off the line quicker than you too... Hemi or not... I know my car
This is what I usually see....
Remember, as everyone has said -- the weight plays a lot in it, even if you have a intercooled tricked out truck... at some point, you will be in my rear view

Hey just wanna add guys/gal, the HP they say for those imports isnt exact.... they are alot less.... look at torque statistics and you see HP is close to that.. why I have no clue, I heard its flywheel hp, I guess it sells better.. I've had a couple buddies dyno there evos and WRx's and both were below what stock hp said, with mods tooo.....

ALL vehciles are rated HP at the Flywheel just the same as your truck. 345hp is at the flywheel while only 250ish make it to the rear wheels. Did i just ruin your day??..lol
Depending on Auto or manual and upon Manufacturer, Most manual trans vehicles lose anywhere between 10-18%hp through the drivetrain. Most auto's loose between 16-30%. Our Ram is of the highest loss in the industry. Figure 345hp x .30%=102hp lost from the engine to the wheels. That's why the Ram 5.7L will dyno at around 250rwhp.
Think of it like this:
A 6,000lb truck rated at 350hp and 375tq is like having a 3,000lb car with 175hp and 188tq with the exception that the truck is a wall in the wind not to mention the drivetrain loss differences.
The IS300 is nothing more than a glorified Camry.
The Acuras are nothing more than glorified Hondas.
